“And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”
II Timothy 3:15
The mission of the Teen Ministry is to develop a solid youth group built upon the foundation of God's word: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” II Timothy 3:16-17
We are so blessed as a church to have an abundance of young people to minister to. With so many young people coming up there is an average of 20-25 in attendance for Wednesday Teen Bible study.
We have a new addition in our teen room of a projector and speakers. This will be so useful for future studies in which PowerPoint will be implemented.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank those of you who give to the Camp Northfield Scholarship fund so faithfully. The teens who attended Teen Week this summer were impacted greatly by the messages they heard. The fellowship was sweet and lives were definitely changed. The speaker was so obviously used of the Lord and had a huge influence on many of our teens. We are still seeing the fruits these many months later. To God be the Glory!
We had many opportunities to fellowship with one another. Here are some of the activities that we enjoy:
- Back to School Bash
- Christmas Caroling
- Arctic Blast
- Ministering with Song at Easter
- Game Night
- Teen Week at Camp
- Teen Retreat at Camp
Please continue to pray for our teens, as we continue to minister to them through the Word and to love them.
”Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25
“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.” II Timothy 4:2
"And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them." Ezekiel 37:24
